aequa hosts community events and event series about social equity, mutual support and solidarity. This guide is for setting up those kinds of events in collaboration with aequa. More about our values here.
We’ve tried to make this guide as comprehensive as possible to give people the tools to start a new event or event series with us. Each black arrow contains more information (click to reveal). We’ve organised it this way to make it easier to read and recommend reading the full guide to help you set up, launch and run your event.

Once you’ve got an idea for an event, or an event series, it’s good to think about if it should be in person or online (or both, aka “hybrid”). Plan ahead to give enough time to set up and promote the event.
Setting an event up well will help to make it the best it can be. We’ve put together some of the things we think are important to bear in mind to make an event accessible and comfortable with you, the organisers and everyone who attends.
